Pavlikeni is located in the central part of Bulgaria only 45 km away from the historical town of Veliko Tarnovo and 50 km from the Danube town – Svishtov. Pavlikeni is a small community which numbers about 20 000 inhabitants and around one fifth of them has a Roma origin. The town has two large neighborhoods where there live two Roma groups: Millet and Kladerashi. There are also Burgudzhii who are scattered in one of the neighborhoods.
