Etropole is a town in Western Bulgaria. It is located in Sofia region and it is the administrative center of the municipality of Etropole. Etropole has over 2500 years of history. It occurs in VII-VI century BC. Its first settlers were the Thracians from Tribali tribe. For many centuries the village is an important crossroad connecting the Danube with Macedonia and Thrace. The municipality is dominated by Orthodox Christians. A survey done by the Center for Community Development Etropole in 2012 shows that in the town live 726 Roma in total: 437 Kalajdzhii, 211 Rudari and 78 Tsotsomani.  The activities of the Center for Community Development Etropole can be found here.
