Byala Slatina is a town in Vratsa district, Northwestern Bulgaria. It is the administrative and economic center of the Municipality of Byala Slatina. On the territory of the municipality live representatives of different ethnic groups and the predominant is the number of the inhabitants of Roma ethnicity. The Data from the social survey carried out in the municipal centre - the town of Byala Slatina showed that to 2012 as Roma set 1494 people. 1324 of them have indicated the Bulgarian language as a mother tongue. 963 of them are Christians. Major Roma group are so called “yerlii” by the subgroup of “Dasikane Roma”. To a lesser extent are presented the “Rudari” and Turkish-speaking people. Marian Aleksiev. Obtained secondary education at PAG "Nicholas I. Vaptzarov", Byala Slatina. At present he is about to graduate from "Agribusiness and Regional Development" College, Veliko Tarnovo in a major "Business Management". Marian Alexiev is driven by the idea "that the Roma community can and deserve to live better" and percepts himself as a man who changed and modernized the attitudes of the Roma community. And the community perceives him as a man who can be trusted.
